Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bailaspot ("Bailaspot," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use our website, mobile experience, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Bailaspot operates an online platform that allows users to discover, host, and organize social dance events and parties. You can contact us at any time at bailaspot@gmail.com.

For the purposes of applicable data protection laws (including the EU/UK GDPR), Bailaspot acts as the controller of personal data we collect about you through the Service.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from third parties.

Information you provide to us. When you create an account, host a party, or otherwise interact with the Service, you may provide us with:

  • Account details such as your name or display name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), profile photo, city, and short bio.
  • Event details you publish when hosting a party, including title, description, date and time, location, photos, capacity, and any rules or notes you choose to publish.
  • Communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback, and messages you exchange with other users through the Service.
  • Any other information you voluntarily submit, for example when responding to surveys or applying to be a featured host.

Information collected automatically. When you visit or use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Device and connection data such as IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and version, language settings, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Usage data such as pages viewed, links clicked, search queries, time spent on pages, referring/exit URLs, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.

Information from third parties. If you sign in or connect to the Service through a third-party provider (for example, a social login), we may receive basic profile information from that provider in accordance with the permissions you grant. We may also receive information from analytics providers and from other users (for example, if a host adds you as a co-organizer of a party).

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Create and maintain your account and authenticate you when you sign in.
  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including allowing you to host or attend parties and connect with other users.
  • Personalize content and recommendations, such as suggesting parties or hosts you may be interested in.
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including service announcements, security alerts, support responses, and (where permitted) marketing messages you can opt out of at any time.
  • Maintain the safety, integrity, and security of the Service, including preventing fraud, abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.
  • Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Conduct analytics and research to understand how the Service is used and to improve features.

Legal bases (where applicable, e.g., EU/UK). We process personal data based on one or more of the following: your consent; the performance of a contract with you (the Terms of Service); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service; and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.

With other users. Information you publish on the Service — such as your display name, profile photo, bio, and the parties you host — is visible to other users and, where you choose, to the public. Be mindful of what you share publicly.

With service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run the Service, including hosting (such as Cloudflare), analytics, email delivery, customer support, and security providers. These providers are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations and may only use your information to perform services on our behalf.

For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the safety, rights, or property of Bailaspot, our users, or others; or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

Business transfers. If Bailaspot is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your consent.

5. International data transfers

Bailaspot operates globally and uses infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare whose networks span multiple countries. As a result, your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you reside. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required by law, we put in place appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information when it is transferred internationally.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide the Service, and as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal data is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymize it.

You can request deletion of your account at any time as described in Section 7.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us at bailaspot@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

You can also:

  • Update your profile information at any time from your account settings.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email.
  • Adjust cookie preferences as described in our Cookie Policy.

8. Security

We use a combination of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at bailaspot@gmail.com.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the higher minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Third-party links and content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that we do not own or control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Policy on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date above, and where required by law we will provide additional notice or seek your consent. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
